Notorious Fire Co. started as me posting designs under NotoriousLB3.
I’m a third in my family, and back then the 3 went into everything.
If there was a way to tag a 3 on it, I did.

The first fire department I ever belonged to was Amherst Fire Department in New Hampshire.
They still have two old Hunneman hand tubs in their possession. One of them – the Yankee – is the oldest Hunneman hand tub in the country.
So when it came time to rebrand the sticker club, I didn’t want it to be “just a subscription.” I wanted it to feel like a house that was rooted in the same kind of history and tradition I grew up around.
That’s why we built Hunneman House – Station 3.
- Hunneman is a nod to the old Boston-area makers of hand-pumped fire engines – the kind of rigs that built the early American fire service.
- Station 3 is a nod to that original LB3 era and being a third-generation name.
- We’re based just outside Boston, so this is our way of tying the club back to the history that’s literally under our feet and in our first departments.
